Q. I WAS TOLD BY SOMEONE THAT THE BUNN AND CLEAR BOWL MACHINES ARE NOT MARGARITA MACHINES AND DOES NOT PUT OUT THE SAME CONSISTENCY AS OTHER TYPE MACHINES. IS THIS TRUE?

A. Absolutely NOT True. This type of machine is more versatile than the other style equipment. Other types of equipment sometimes tend to over freeze slush and even margarita drinks. Bunn frozen drink machines can be used for any type of frozen beverage, they will make a perfect margarita, smoothie or slushy. You can adjust the drink density control to make the proper consistency and the perfect drink. Your favorite adult alcohol based drink or your kids slushy, this machine will do it all.

Q. WHY DO YOU PRIMARILY CARRY THE PLASTIC BOWL TYPE MACHINES AND NOT THE BIG STAINLESS STEEL STYLE MACHINES?

A. Our years of experience have led us to use and promote this type of equipment over the other style for many reasons.

1. Performance - Our experience shows that the Bunn and Ugolini type machine can simply out perform the Crathco, Wilch, Frosty Factory and other type of industrial frozen drink equipment. The Bunn will produce more servings than the other type machines for the start of your party. You will have close to 100 - 8oz. servings frozen at the start of your event compared to 25 the other type machines will have ready. The start of any event is the time of highest demand you're equipment will have as well as the most important time for first impressions to generate referrals. It is definitely not the time to run out or to serve a watery drink. If you treat the 2 bowl machine as a single flavor unit and put the same flavor in both sides you can have an unending supply of frozen beverages. Simply serve only from 1 side first, refilling it as it empties, then you switch and serve from side 2 while side 1 refreezing making a third batch. When side 2 is empty you refill it making a fourth batch and go back to serve from side 1 based on the size of the crowd. Using the machine in this manner, it will out-perform any machine on the market.

2. Price - you can have two - Bunn Ultra II machines for about the same price as a single flavor Crathco 3311 sells for. This will allow you to expand your fleet of equipment faster. Dollar for dollar you can have 2 double bowl machines sitting at a party for the same amount of money someone else would have invested in a single flavor box type machine. Wow! Talk about a great value for your dollar.

3. Weight - One person can move the Bunn machine at 125 lbs versus needing a 2nd person to help carry a 200 lbs for most of the other units. You lose money if you have to pay to send two people out to set up a machine.

4. Cleaning - The Bunn Ultra II clear bowls detach from the base and come apart for easy cleaning and storing. Simply clean the parts by hand or place them in you dishwasher at home. You can touch and clean everywhere the mix has gone with the Bunn. No more chemical sanitizers needed to get into the spots and clean the areas you can't touch as the others must have.

Q. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FREEZE MARGARITAS WITH THE BUNN?

A. If you are using one bottle of our mix you will be making five gallons of margarita and that is three gallons per side. This will take about an hour to freeze that amount or a little longer in the heat of summer. You can shorten the freeze time by either pre mixing and cooling the drink mix or starting with cold water. Keep in mind if the liquid going into the machine is chilled at 40 degrees, it will take half the time than if is 80 degrees when starting.

Q. WILL THIS TYPE OF MACHINE WORK OUTSIDE IN THE HEAT OF THE SUMMER?

A. Yes, this machine, as all brands, is air cooled, so high temperatures will have an adverse effect on them but as long as you keep them out of direct sunlight, they will work fine.

Q. I WAS TOLD THAT OTHER TYPE OF MACHINES CAN FREEZE DRINKS IN 30 MINUTES OR LESS. IS THAT TRUE?

A. This sometimes may be true. However, you first must understand that even though you are filling them with five gallons of liquid, those machines are only freezing 1.5 gallons at a time; 1.5 gallons goes directly into the freezing chamber while the rest is sitting up in the holding tank. The concept of this style machine is that you serve a frozen drink and it is replaced with liquid mix from the retaining tank. Each drink dispensed is replaced by equal amounts of liquid that will then mix with the frozen beverage in the freezing cylinder. It is a concept that has worked well for years at restaurants, bars etc., and places where they sell drinks at a slow steady pace. The problem that we have had with this style of machine in the past is at the parties, events and weddings where there are a large number of people trying to get a drink at the same time. If a party or event starts at 7:00 and you have 30-50 or more guests wanting a drink. PROBLEM! This machine will have about 25 frozen ready to serve. Working at its best the faster you dispense the drinks the less frozen each one becomes progressively. Some people will be getting cold liquid usually at around the 15 serving and will start dumping them (wasting expensive alcohol) until someone puts a sign on it to come back in 30 minutes or they simply turn it off thinking it is broken. Either way, refunding money or loosing referrals for future bookings is not good for business and the main reason we no longer use or endorse this style machine.
